Trauma versus No Trauma

14 Mar Trauma versus No Trauma

Posted at 23:52h in Shoulder by georgemurrell

Turns out that a history of a traumatic injury is of little benefit with respect to the results of arthroscopic rotator cuff repair. The results are good whether the patient can remember a traumatic event or not. The only caveat is that if the patient waits more than 2 years after a traumatic event, then they have a higher re-tear rate rate than those who have their surgery earlier.
